Halloween: Part One

This has been a great Halloween week. We have had a lot of fun things to do. Last weekend we went to our old ward party. It was so fun for Ava to get to be with her best friend Owen. Here they are: The Kangaroo (Owen) and our Little Monkey (Ava).

Back view so you can see thier tails and Ava's Banana. So cute!

They were so cute in the doughnut on a string competition. Owen, Ava and Asher were the contestants. Asher won I think, but Ava and Owen tried their hardest (well Owen did, Ava just gave up after a few tries)

Here is Riley's turn at the doughnut on the string competition.

Owen got his doughnut afterall and that is all that matters....

And Ava got to be a the monkey she is and swing on the doughnut eating contraption, which was actually a chair holder. She was happy just swinging near the doughnuts.

Here is a shout out to my great friends Brigitte and Emily..Pie Eating Contestants. This was before while they were still smiling. Brigitte got her head shoved in the pie by her great husband Adam. She bowed out after the pie went up her nose, but Emily held on till the end and got second place and a tummy ache. I love these girls!

Here is their video

And here is Shaun in the Men's pie eating contest. He also came in second, but looked good doing it!

Then we got invited to a Halloween Party last night by Hilarie and Starr, some friends from the ward. They did an awesome job. We went on a Scavenger hunt that was so much fun! Ava was worn out by the end, but we had a great time. Thanks guys!

Ava (The sad monkey in the middle) and Ri and I as Banana trees. We had to have a family theme and Ava was already a monkey so this is what we came up with.

This picture is of me and Hilarie. We were friends back in the day when we were both single and going to school. So this insn't our first Halloween party together. I tried to scan the picture of us from like 2002, but I couldn't get it to work. Oh well. Hilarie was one of the "Hostest with the mostest" tonight and she got to sit and relax and watch us while we had to eat lots of ice cream after running the track and then go run some more, we kept it all down though....No hard feeling Hilarie :) Thanks for the great party!

Here we are after the scavenger hunt. We finished in the shorest amount of time after kicking everyones butt (but in a nice way :) in tug o war. It was great fun, we hae now decided the Amazing Race would be right up our alley.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! WE HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT ONE!
